Disaster Action Team (D.A.T.)

Our volunteer DAT teams respond to local fires within our coverage area. Once on the scene, DAT volunteers provide emotional support, basic care kits, comfort items for children and write emergency shelter and clothing vouchers based on the family's needs.

Becoming a DAT volunteer requires approximately 20 hours of specialized training. DAT team members then sign up for 1-week periods of time, working in teams of two. DAT team members are on call for 24-hours a day and must be able to respond to a fire within a reseaonable amount of time. Necessary equipment is supplied by Northland Redcross.

DAT members are desperately needed. If you're interested in training as a DAT member, please contact us at 722-0071, or send us an email.
